Factory Reset Button

The Gateway has a physical reset button. Press and hold it — the LED will turn blue — for more than 5 seconds, and the system automatically performs a factory reset and reboots. A short press is ignored, specifically to prevent accidental resets.

A factory reset returns the Gateway to its out-of-box AP mode and default configuration. If the Gateway is registered on a ChirpStack instance, you will likely need to re-add it as a gateway afterward — reconnect and reconfigure Wi-Fi/cellular backhaul, then verify the Gateway ID still matches (or update it) on the network server.

LED Status Indicators

Power LED — Red, steady ONGateway is powered on and internal circuits are active
Power LED — OFFNo power supply, or the Gateway has been switched off
Status LED — Red, blinking continuouslyNo internet connection / connectivity issue
Status LED — Green, steady ONInternet connection is active and stable
Status LED — Blue (during reset button press)Factory reset in progress — release after 5+ seconds to trigger the reset

If you enter incorrect Wi-Fi credentials while switching the Gateway to client mode, recover by: power-cycling the Gateway, holding the reset button during boot if available, reconnecting to the Gateway's own AP network (viot-gateway-xxxxx), and repeating the Wi-Fi configuration steps.
