Installation and input scaling for the connected transmitter.
The 4-20mA Node is described in Vandyam's catalogue as a "Plug and Play Device," which reflects a simpler configuration story than the RS-485 Node: because it reads a single current-loop input rather than managing multiple Modbus slaves with custom register maps, there is far less to configure in the first place. The main setup decision is the input scaling — mapping the 4mA and 20mA endpoints of the loop to the real-world minimum and maximum values of whatever the connected transmitter measures (for example, 4mA = 0 bar and 20mA = 10 bar for a pressure transmitter).
Data path
Sensor → VIoT Node → VIoT Gateway → Cloud Dashboard → Alerts. Once wired and powered, the node joins the nearest Vandyam VIoT Gateway over LoRaWAN and begins reporting its current-loop reading.

- 5Verify live readings are arriving on the dashboard before leaving site
